De technologische evolutie van mobiele toestellen is de afgelopen jaren enorm. Ondanks deze ontwikkeling blijft de gebruikservaring op smartphones en tablets een heikel punt. Dit werk beschrijft de optimalisatie van Quality of Experience (QoE) op mobiele toestellen. Ten eerste wordt de ontwikkeling van een algemeen framework voor het meten van de QoE beschreven. Daarnaast wordt de uitwerking van een voorbeeldapplicatie toegelicht. Deze videoapplicatie maakt gebruik van de gegevens die worden verzameld door het framework. Op basis van deze informatie wordt de videokwaliteit bijgesteld. De optimalisatie is dynamisch en kan verschillen van gebruiker tot gebruiker. The last few years, the technological evolution of mobile devices is tremendous. Despite this trend, the user experience on smartphones and tablets is still an issue. This work describes the optimization of Quality of Experience (QoE) on mobile devices. First of all, the development of a general framework for measuring the QoE is described. In addition, the development of a sample application is explained. This video application uses the data collected by the framework. Based on this information, the video quality is adjusted. The optimization is dynamic and may vary from user to user.
