Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease whose treatment is primarily aimed at reducing the motor symptoms of the disease: we mainly restore dopamine levels by administering levodopa or dopamine agonists. The disease also causes non-motor symptoms with sleep disorders are one of the most common disorders.ln connection with taking dopamine agonists, one author described the presence of sleep attacks as a side effect of some drugs i n this class. This work aims to study the sleep attacks to determine certain characteristics (the abruptness, the risk drugs, the type of patient risk, the consequences they may have). According to the scientific literature, it appears that sleep attacks exist but are very rare because patients frequently exhibit early signs of these sleep episodes. They occur with all dopamine agonists and significantly in older men, sick for a long time and levodopa in combination with dopamine agonists. The consequences of these episodes can be dangerous, especially if they occur at the wheel but we note that the frequency of car accidents in patients undergoing attacks is low and especially that sleepiness is a minor cause of accidents : motor and non-motor disorders occurring in Parkinson's disease greatly reduce the driving ability of patients.
