Annotation Intelligent agents are software entities which can carry out some actions on behalf of clients with some degree of autonomy. Through sensing the status of environment, agents perform some operations based on some possessed knowledge in order to change or influence the environment towards their goals. A Multi Agent System (MAS) is a group or society of agents, and agents interact with others in the group cooperatively and or competitively in order to reach their individual or common goals We envision a future society where computational agents and humans (physical agents) are living, working and snuggling with each other. Harmonious collaboration among computational agents and humans are of importance in the next generation society. ICA2016 will call for papers related to the above Intelligent agents and Multi Agent Systems.

Annotation Web Intelligence (WI) aims to achieve a multi disciplinary balance between research advances in theories and methods usually associated with Collective Intelligence, Data Science, Human Centric Computing, Knowledge Management, and Network Science It is committed to addressing research that both deepen the understanding of computational, logical, cognitive, physical, and social foundations of the future Web, and enable the development and application of technologies based on Web intelligence The IEEE WIC ACM International Conference on Web Intelligence (WI) has been held jointly with the IEEE WIC ACM International Conference on Intelligent Agent Technology (IAT) since 2001 in Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific Starting in 2016, the IAT conference as well as its themes and topics will be embedded inside WI. WI16 features high quality, original research papers and real world applications in all theoretical and technology areas that make up the field of WI.

"Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) use networked multiple autonomous agents to accomplish complex tasks in areas such as space-based applications, smart grids, and machine learning. The overall system goal is achieved using local interactions among the agents. The last two decades have witnessed rapid development of MASs in automatic control. Tracing the roots of such systems back more than 50 years, this monograph provides the reader with an in-depth and comprehensive survey of the research in Multi-Agent Systems. The focus is on the research conducted in the two decades. It introduces the basic concepts and definitions to the reader before going on to describe how MAS has been used in most forms of systems. The monograph offers a concise reference for understanding the use of MASs and the contemporary research issues for further investigation. In addition to covering the basic theory, the authors also cover applications in multi-robot systems, sensor networks, smart grid, machine learning, social networks, and many-core microprocessors. On the Control of Multi-Agent Systems provides researchers and students in systems and control a modern, comprehensive survey of one of the most important current day topics."--
