The Committee for Equal Opportunities, Well-being at Work and against Discriminations of the University Federico II stages an annual photographic contest addressed to its scholars, students and employees. This catalogue collects all the pictures sent and the motivations of the award by Jury: every picture contains a tale about academic life (and not only) during the past two years, in so evocative way as only images can do. Il Comitato Unico di Garanzia dell'Ateneo Federico II lancia ogni anno un contest fotografico riservato alla comunità universitaria. Il volume raccoglie le foto che hanno partecipato e le motivazioni della Giuria per le vincitrici: tutte raccontano i due anni trascorsi e offrono uno spaccato di vita, che solo le immagini riescono a rendere con tanta immediatezza.

Abstract

"Postwar Europe and the Eurovision Song Contest examines how the Eurovision Song Contest has reflected and become intertwined with the history of postwar Europe from a political perspective. Established in 1956, the Eurovision Song Contest is the world's largest popular music event and one of the most popular television programmes in Europe, currently attracting a global audience of around 200 million people. Eurovision is often mocked as cultural kitsch because of its over-the-top performances and frivolous song lyrics. Yet there is no cultural medium that connects Europeans more than popular music, the development of which has always been tied to cultural, economic, political, social and technological change - making Eurovision the ideal tool to explain the history of Europe in the last sixty years. This book uses Eurovision as a vehicle to address topics ranging from the Cold War, liberal democracy and communism to nationalism, European integration, economic prosperity and human rights. It analyses these subjects through their cultural, political and social relationships with Eurovision entries as expressed through lyrics and music, as well as by examining public debates that have accompanied the selection of the entries and the organisation of the contest itself. Postwar Europe and the Eurovision Song Contest also considers how states have used Eurovision to define their identities in a European context, be it to assert their national distinctiveness, highlight political issues or affirm their Europeanism or Euroscepticism in the context of European integration. Based on original sources, including hitherto unpublished archival documents from international broadcasting organisations, this is a novel historical study of interest to anyone keen to know more about the postwar history of Europe and its cultural history in particular."--

Abstract

Henceforth, digital management is a necessity for any company. We all know that we are using computers and smartphones more than ever before. Through them, Internet takes a growing part in our everyday lives. That is the reason why a well known 92 years old Belgian magazine called Moustique begun its digital activity. &#13;Moustique is a weekly French speaking press publication. Its core business is the treatment of societal actuality. In the current context of change, paper remains its main support. To promote it, beside non digital promotion tools, they dispose of a website, a social network presence, web contests, and an app. &#13;The objectives? To reach customer’s needs; attract new ones and be innovative!&#13;The problem? The employees don’t really know the impact of their digital activity on the recruitment of news subscribers. This is the subject of Gautier Bols’ thesis. He is a Belgian HEC-Liège student , who is finishing a Master in Marketing and Strategic Intelligence. &#13;The title of the thesis is “In what the digital activity of Moustique can, particularly through socials networks, contribute to the recruitment of subscribers for the paper edition who belong to the new target of Moustique?”. To answer it, Gautier Bols observed and analyzed the digital activities of Moustique. He also explored new models and possibilities. He realized a quantitative market research to assess the contest players’ propensity to subscribe to the Moustique magazine. The last part of the thesis is the realization of a qualitative market research addressed to the newsletter readers. The purpose is the assessment of the newsletter relevance and efficacy as a prospecting channel for news paper subscribers.
