Abstract

Samenvatting:Instructors in computer science and related topics Carrano (U. of RhodeIsland) and Prichard (Bryant College) present a textbook for a secondcourse in computer science, based on the analogy of walls and mirrorsdeveloped by Paul Helman and Robert Veroff in their 1986 IntermediateProblem Solving and Data Structures. Their goal is to give students afoundation in data abstraction, object-oriented programming, and othermodern problem-solving techniques. Students should be familiar with thefundamentals of Java, or know another programming language well enough tomake the switch using the appendix. They assume that object-orienteddesign and software engineering will be taught in future courses, and sodo not address them here. They do not include a bibliography
