Abstract

Ieder zijn communicatie is een boek dat geschreven is voor iedereen die met non-verbale personen te maken heeft. Het is praktijkgericht en geeft een overzicht van alle mogelijke systemen of apparaten die een persoon in zijn communicatie kunnen helpen. Totale communicatie staat hier centraal: de communicatie in zijn totaliteit is belangrijk en niet zozeer de wijze waarop men communiceert.Na een kort theoretisch overzicht komen 4 praktijkgerichte hoofdstukken aan de beurt.Het 2de hoofdstuk geeft een overzicht van de bestaande manuele systemen. Bij de beschrijving van de verschillende methoden wordt een onderscheid gemaakt tussen tekentalen, educatieve tekensystemen, gebarentaalcodes en andere gebarencommunicatiesystemen. Het 3de hoofdstuk beschrijft diverse symboolsystemen. 3 grote delen staan hier centraal: de visuele systemen, de tactiele systemen en de auditieve systemen. De visuele systemen zijn hier veruit de belangrijkste. In het 4de hoofdstuk wordt de elektronische en de elektrische communicatie-apparatuur besproken. De mobiele en niet-mobiele apparaten komen er uitvoerig aan bod. De alternatieve telefoonsystemen kunnen belangrijk zijn voor doven, motorisch gehandicapten en spraakgestoorden. De systemen voor Nederland en België worden toegelicht in het 5de hoofdstuk.
