The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of counselling to cope with the PTSD in adolescent girls who were referred from various hospitals and educational organizations. This wan an empirical research in which both qualitative and quantitative methods were used...abusers of these girls were uncles, biological fathers, lovers, and strangers including women...The finding is that the counselling strategies used at Grace Counselling Center, Kayamkulam are effective in reducing overall PTSD in adolescent girls and the result is significant. All participants reported decrease in PTSD. Depression and suicidal ideations significantly decreased with these psychotherapies and counselling.
