The objective of this assignment is to describe the risks encountered by pregnant women that are under a medicine, especially the over-the-counter ones (OTC). Firstly, we will describe the potential risk for every phase of the pregnancy. Then, we will pay attention to the different types of studies that exist to evaluate such risks. We will also evaluate the American FDA point of view and then criticize it. Furthermore, we will develop interest in the pharmacokinetic and physiological characteristics that define pregnancy. Finally, we will develop the medical solutions and lifestyle advice that would encounter a pharmacist when meeting pregnant women.
