"Les territoires pe´riurbains, comme leur nom l'indique, sont des zones qui se situent « autour » de la ville. Ni tout a` fait urbains ni tout a` fait ruraux, ils sont le reflet des choix urbanistiques du XXe sie`cle. On les juge aujourd'hui avec se´ve´rite´ : ils seraient l'espace du repli sur soi, de l'e´goi¨sme et de l'homoge´ne´ite´ sociale.
