Au croisement d'intérêts artistiques, sociologiques, juridiques, philosophiques et littéraires, le street art s'intègre de plus en plus au paysage universitaire. Ayant pour objet les relations entre le street art, la poésie et le récit, ce volume développe une nouvelle réflexion transdisciplinaire sur les pratiques urbaines, en proposant des approches littéraire, narrative, axiologique. Il s'interroge sur la portée poétique du street art, une forme d'expression mêlant bien souvent écriture et image, à la fois dessins sur les murs et jeux sur les mots, poésies graphiques et images poétiques. S'il est communément affirmé que l'art urbain apporte une note de poésie à l'espace public, l'ouvrage s'attache à définir les liens qu'entretient le street art avec l'expérience sensible. Il contient également des entretiens inédits avec deux artistes majeurs : Ernest Pignon-Ernest et Niels SHOE Meulman.
