Abstract

Diethylene glycol dimethyl ether (in the following called diglyme) is a colourless liquid with a slight pleasant odour. Due to its dipolar aprotic properties diglyme is used mainly as a solvent (semiconductor industry chemical synthesis lacquers) as an inert reaction medium in chemical synthesis and as a separating agent in distillations.This book evaluates the risks to human health and the environment of this chemical.
