Dieses Open Access Buch erläutert, wie das Zusammenwirken von Menschen, Tieren und Pflanzen einerseits und Maschinen andererseits mit der zunehmenden Digitalisierung und durch das Zusammenwirken von natürlicher und künstlicher Intelligenz zukünftig aussehen wird und inwieweit sich Umfang und Intensität der neuen Synergien bestimmen lassen. Die hohe Komplexität der weitgefächerten Thematik soll in drei Anwendungsgebieten behandelt werden: in Medizin und Gesundheitsversorgung, in physischen und virtuellen Mobilitätsformen sowie in der Kooperation mit Tieren und Pflanzen in der Landwirtschaft. Dabei werden methodisch-technische sowie rechtliche und ethische Aspekte thematisiert. Die Herausgeber Prof. Dr. Reinhold Haux ist Professor für Medizinische Informatik am Peter L. Reichertz Institut für Med. Informatik der TU Braunschweig und der Med. Hochschule Hannover. Prof. Dr. Klaus Gahl ist Professor a.D. für Innere Medizin und Vizepräsident der Braunschweigischen Wissenschaftlichen Gesellschaft (BWG). Prof. Dr. Meike Jipp ist Professorin für „Human Factors im Verkehr“ an der TU Braunschweig und Leiterin der Abteilung „Human Factors“ des Instituts für Verkehrssystemtechnik des Deutschen Zentrums für Luft- und Raumfahrt. Prof. Dr. Rudolf Kruse ist Professor für Informatik am Institut für Intelligente Kooperierende Systeme der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg. Prof. Dr. Otto Richter ist Professor a.D. für Agrarökologie am Institut für Geoökologie der TU Braunschweig. Von 2017 bis 2019 war er Präsident der BWG.

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the second International Workshop on the Theory and Applications of Formal Argumentation, TAFA 2013, held in Beijing, China, in August 2013. The Workshop was co-located with IJCAI 2013. The 15 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 22 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections such as abstract argumentation frameworks, social abstract argumentation with votes on attacks, a normal form of argumentation frameworks, assumption-based argumentation, argument schemes for normative practical reasoning.
