Jura Falconis is het juridisch wetenschappelijk studententijdschrift van de rechtsfaculteit van de K.U.Leuven. In 1964 hebben enkele rechtsstudenten het lumineuze en ambitieuze plan opgevat aan de Leuvense rechtsfaculteit een eigen juridisch tijdschrift, geënt op de beroemde Amerikaanse law reviews, op te starten. Ondertussen is Jura Falconis uitgegroeid tot een vaste en unieke waarde in de Belgische rechtsliteratuur (www.jurafalconis.be). Dit liber bevat de neerslag van de jaarlijks door Jura Falconis georganiseerde studiedag, die dit jaar op 18 april 2007 werd georganiseerd en geheel in het teken stond van het nieuwe Gemeentedecreet. Onder de academische coördinatie van Prof. Marc Boes en het Instituut voor Administratief recht wordt een eerste evaluatie van de nieuwe regeling uitgewerkt, maar ook de wijze waarop gemeenten in rechte kunnen optreden en de plaats van de burger in het Gemeentedecreet worden uitvoerig belicht.
