De auteurs Mark Paur werkt bij de Hogeschool van Amsterdam als docent, onderwijsontwikkelaar en scriptiebegeleider bij de opleiding Accountancy. Daarnaast is hij docent Accounting Information Systems aan de post-masteropleiding tot registeraccountant (Universiteit van Amsterdam). Voor zijn overstap naar het onderwijs werkte Paur als openbaar accountant en als controller. Daarnaast is hij auteur van een aantal succesvolle boeken over administratieve organisatie. Toine van Boxel werkt in het hbo als docent administratieve organisatie, onderwijsontwikkelaar en stage- en afstudeerbegeleider bij de opleiding Finance & Control van Avans Hogeschool in Den Bosch. Daarnaast is hij auteur op het terrein van het onderwijs in Excel. Voordat hij in het onderwijs begon, werkte hij als informatieanalist en systeemontwerper.
