Since its founding in 2001, Interloop Architecture in Houston, Texas, has focused on innovative building technologies, imaginative design and careful material selection and processing. The office's portfolio ranges from designs for furniture and special components to residential, research and cultural buildings. Founding partners Dawn Finley and Mark Wamble teach at Rice University School of Architecture in addition to their practice. This first book on Interloop Architecture has a hybrid character between monograph and field trip guide. It presents novel buildings in the broader context of influences, processes and technologies. The diverse, partly realised and partly speculative designs from two decades trace the development of the office. The framework is formed by three pairs of themes that are central to his research work: Information - Form, Process - Manufacturing, Material - Structure.
