Die vorliegende Arbeit untersucht die Möglichkeit der Rekonstruktion prähistorischer Hochwasserereignisse am Oberrhein und an der Oberen Donau anhand von Änderungen in der geochemisch-mineralogischen sowie der granulometrischen Zusammensetzung von Auensedimenten. Das konkrete Ziel der Arbeit ist es, einen Zusammenhang zwischen der geochemisch-mineralogischen sowie der granulometrischen Zusammensetzung der im Auenbereich abgelagerten Sedimente und der Höhe des herrschenden Abflusses nachzuweisen.
