L’eau est essentielle pour la vie, cependant elle peut être aussi une source de maladie. D’après un rapport de l’Organisation Mondiale de la Santé cinq millions de nourrissons et d’enfants meurent chaque année de maladies diarrhéiques dues à la contamination des aliments ou de l’eau de boisson. Ce travail a pour objectif de modéliser le procédé de coagulation-floculation Le modèle élaboré permet de déterminer la teneur en matière organique oxydable (DCO) pour des valeurs de pH, concentrations en coagulant et temps de contact variables. Ce modèle adopté a montré son efficacité en ce qui concerne la prédiction de la réponse. Les résultats des tests statistiques obtenus (Fisher, coefficient de corrélation, Student) confirment la crédibilité du modèle choisi pour la prédiction de la DCO. L’analyse des courbes de niveau iso-valeurs dans les intervalles des paramètres étudiés, permet de cerner les conditions optimales du procédé de coagulation- floculation.
