An examination of the theoretical, phenomenological and experimental aspects of supersymmetry in particle physics as well as its implications in cosmology. The papers are taken from the 9th International Conference on Supersymmetry and Unification of Fundamental Interactions, held in 2001.

This book is about the methods used for unifying different scientific theories under one all-embracing theory. The process has characterized much of the history of science and is prominent in contemporary physics; the search for a 'theory of everything' involves the same attempt at unification. Margaret Morrison argues that, contrary to popular philosophical views, unification and explanation often have little to do with each other. The mechanisms that facilitate unification are not those that enable us to explain how or why phenomena behave as they do. A feature of this book is an account of many case studies of theory unification in nineteenth- and twentieth-century physics and of how evolution by natural selection and Mendelian genetics were unified into what we now term evolutionary genetics.

In this book, we study theoretical and practical aspects of computing methods for mathematical modelling of nonlinear systems. A number of computing techniques are considered, such as methods of operator approximation with any given accuracy; operator interpolation techniques including a non-Lagrange interpolation; methods of system representation subject to constraints associated with concepts of causality, memory and stationarity; methods of system representation with an accuracy that is the best within a given class of models; methods of covariance matrix estimation;methods for low-rank

We continue the Book Series ``Contemporary Fundamental Physics"". The thematic issue ""Einstein and Others: Unification"" contains articles related to the problem of the unification of interactions and to other fundamental problems of the modern physics. The book includes an Editorial Introduction, and nine articles. This book may be considered as continuation of the books ""Einstein and Poincare: The Physical Vacuum"" and ""Einstein and Hilbert: Dark Matter"", published by us a few years ago. The authors are: S. Capozziello, M. De Laurentis, L. Fabbri and S. Vignolo, D. J. Cirilo Lombardo, S.
