Dans la première partie de son mémoire, l'auteur présente le travail d'artistes urbains ou issus de la culture urbaine comme WK Interact, Shepard Fairey, Space Invader, Ryan McGuiness, Barry McGee, Viagrafik, Kinsey. Ces artistes imposent leur style dans la rue par ce processus de réappropriation de l'espace urbain. Dans la deuxième partie du mémoire, l'auteur décrit les nouvelles directions que prend le graphisme environnemental. Le graphisme investit tous les supports, les murs à travers le design d'intérieur, la création d'une nouvelle génération de papier-peint, le support vidéo au travers de projections lors de performance, spectacle de danse... Pour illustrer son propos, l'auteur parlera du travail : - de Graffiti Research lab (laboratoire installé à New York), - de Hektor (appareil de production graphique) réalisé par Jürg Lehni et Uli Franke, - de Random International , collectif de 3 designers Flo OrtKrass, Stuart Wood et Hannes Koch - Simon Heijdens, designer hollandais - du projet Parasite pensé par les artistes berlinois Frédéric Eyl, Gunnar Green et Richard The, - de Hanna Werning, graphiste

Cambio (from the medieval Latin cambium, ‘change, exchange’) is an ongoing investigation conducted by Formafantasma into the extraction, production and distribution of wood products. For this project, Formafantasma collaborated with experts from the fields of science, conservation, engineering, policymaking and philosophy. They have gathered a range of texts, interviews and visual materials for the publication that pose questions about the role that design can play in translating emerging environmental awareness into informed, collaborative responses. The catalogue includes texts by : Jennifer L. Anderson, Paola Antonelli, Emanuele Coccia, Formafantasma, Lesley Green, Rebecca Lewin, Vanessa Richardson, Paulo Tavares. Additionally, the catalogue includes interviews with : Faustino Londoño & Nelson Ortiz, Frederic Lens, Mark Nesbitt & Caroline Cornish, Philipp Pattberg and Pieter Baas. It is designed by SJG/Joost Grootens and Dimitri Jeannottat. Extending the principals of this project to the catalogue, the paper used in the book has been microscopically investigated to confirm it doesn’t contain cells from endangered species.
