Cet ouvrage propose une plongée sociologique au cœur de l'école primaire française et comble ainsi un vide dans la connaissance de celle-ci. À partir de plusieurs études de terrain, Cécile Roaux amène le lecteur dans la complexité de l'école, organisation qui apparait de prime abord simple à ses usagers, parents et élèves. Le point nodal de l'analyse ici présentée porte sur la situation difficile de la direction d'école qui au-delà du titre, ne dispose d'aucun moyen réel pour assurer une animation effective de l'organisation dont elle est responsable. L'intérêt et l'originalité de ce livre réside dans une analyse qui n'est pas fondée sur la personnalité de ceux ou celles qui occupent cette fonction de direction, mais bien sur la complexité de l'organisation. Ainsi, à partir de l'école comme unité de base, on peut comprendre le fonctionnement du système éducatif dans son ensemble.

Abstract

The publication is a study text intended for students in Teacher for Primary Schools and Teacher for Kindergartens study programmes. Its aim is to present the professional portfolio as an important part and instrument of teacher professionalisation. The publication focuses on both the process and the product of the professional portfolio. It should help students to systematically record and reflect the process of becoming a teacher, promote individualisation and authenticity in the professionalisation process. Accent is put simultaneously on the role of portfolio in student teacher development and learning and on its use for assessment. The text will enable students to create their own portfolios which may be used e.g. as a material for their final state exam.
