Cet essai nous fait revoir l'Histoire humaine à la lumière de celle du climat. Il montre à quel point les grandes variations climatiques ont été, depuis que Sapiens habite la planète, un puissant moteur de son évolution.Du Paléolithique à nos jours, Sapiens s'est trouvé confronté à des événements naturels souvent rapides, brutaux et de grande ampleur. Pour le pire et pour le meilleur.
