This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th IFIP WG 13.5 Working Conference on Human Error, Safety and Systems Development, HESSD 2009, held in Brussels, Belgium, in September 2009. The 8 revised full papers presented with were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions for inclusion in the book. The papers address the problem of developing systems that support human interaction with complex, safety-critical applications.
