In deze studie wordt organisatiecultuur bezien vanuit de discipline die zich traditioneel bij uitstek bezighoudt met cultuur, namelijk de culturele antropologie. Vanuit een theoretische verkenning van het antropologisch cultuurbegrip, gaat de auteur uitvoerig in op de definitie van organisatiecultuur, haar inhoud, haar functies en haar dynamiek. Op basis daarvan komen vragen en problemen van cultuurdiagnose en cultuurinterventie uitvoerig aan de orde. Het boek beoogt een theoretische verdieping te geven aan het denken over organisatiecultuur en de rol die ze vervult in het functioneren van organisaties. Het is dan ook bedoeld voor allen die zich in hun studie of hun beroepspraktijk met organisatiecultuur bezighouden en naast hun praktisch bezig zijn, ook behoefte hebben aan een samenhangende visie die het verschijnselorganisatiecultuur plaatst in het bredere verband van cultuur als basisgegeven van het menselijk bestaan.
