Pablo Horváth pursues an architectural direction in which the craftsmanship contrasts with the language of the elegant and trendy design. He has designed a number of remarkable buildings since 1993, among them two idiosyncratic multi-family houses in Chur (2004), and the extension of the school facility in Riom-Parsonz (2006).

Anja Beer and David Merz founded their own office in Basel in 2010. Their smaller buildings, a residential home and housing renovation projects pursue the noble aim of consideration, respect and integration. Their intelligently developed solutions are orientated towards the functions of their buildings and the given existing structures.

Sandra Giraudi and Felix Wettstein, another architect couple from Lugano, became renowned with the construction of a residential building in Cadro (1997), the laboratory building on the university campus in Lugano (2002) and the new concourse in Basel station (2003, with Cruz-Ortis, Sevilla). Sharply defined, finely shaped structures respectfully and yet pointedly combine with the evolved surrounding environment.

Four architects - Beno Aeschlimann, Stefan Hess, Reto Mosimann and, since 2012, Hanspeter Stauffer - are responsible for the Biel office spaceshop Architekten. Since 1998, it has produced an impressive series of highly exciting buildings and renovation projects. They include the extension to the Sonnenhof Primary School in Bern, which reinterprets the repertoire of the "Solothurn school" in a new and sensitive way.
