This book not only reports on the historical evolution of medical education in the epm, but, above all, it testifies the concern of the faculty in continuing to offer training of excellence. EPM has always been present in discussions and exchanges of knowledge for the development of a medical education model, seeking to adapt its curriculum to national changes. The first part of the book, “Historical, Theoretical and Methodological Contextualization”, situates the panorama of medical education from an articulation with national movements for changes in medical education. Next, in the second part, the most recent proposals for change are described, with the aim of bringing students closer to issues related to professional practice. The last part of the book reflects on the challenges and perspectives of graduation at EPM.
