L'anévrysme de l'aorte abdominale est une maladie vasculaire fréquente. Méconnu, sa taille augmente progressivement, sur une période de temps variable, conduisant finalement à la rupture, condition souvent fatale. L'intervention chirurgicale, en cas de rupture anévrysmale, est difficile, avec des taux élevés de mortalité et de morbidité. La cure chirurgicale élective de l'anévrysme de l'aorte abdominale est une procédure relativement simple, bien codifiée. Ce film présente une telle cure élective, avec remplacement de l'aorte abdominale malade par une prothèse synthétique.

The objective of this study is to evaluate the factors that influence the development of type 2 endoleak in endovascular repair of abdominal aneurysm. What are those factors? ls it possible to prevent the development of type 2 endoleak ? What is the best treatment?This study is based on a retrospective study of 185 patients files treated in St-LucUniversity Clinic for abdominal aorta aneurysm between April 1995 and October 2010.The median age is 74 years-old (49-94) with 85% of male.The median diameter of the aneurysms was 57 mm (35-100).The variables we studied are the cardiovascular risk factors (high blood pressure, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, smoking), the presence of kidney failure, the presence of coronarian insufficiency. We also studied the success of pre-operative embolization.The follow-up has been done with the Eurostar protocol with at least one abdominal CT-Scan per year.During the follow-up, 9 patients
