Quatrième de couverture : "The Sobotta Clinical Atlas of Human Anatomy is tailored specifically to the needs of medical and health professional students. It utilizes a regional approach for learning human anatomy that integrates core concepts of anatomical structure and function with modern methods of diagnostic imaging, cross-sectional anatomy, illustrations of real world functions, clinically relevant surface anatomy and key examples of how anatomical knowledge informs clinical practice. The 'Clinical Remarks' and 'Structure/Function' sections provide important and easily identifiable practical examples, which reinforce clinical application of anatomical knowledge. Moreover, all anatomical images are accompanied by descriptive text and summary tables which serve to highlight the key concepts associated with each specific image. Key features of the atlas include : More than 1850 anatomical, radiological, cross-sectional and functional images with clinically relevant labels give you a solid grounding in human anatomy -- Descriptive text provides you with additional information for all images -- Summary tables allow you to organize valuable key concepts -- The regional approach to anatomy enables you to place functional, clinical and cross-sectional images in context -- 'Clinical Remarks' and 'Structure/Function' vignettes give you a head-start in learning anatomy in a clinically relevant manner -- Surface anatomy illustrations equip you with valuable knowledge for your first physical examinations -- The perfect study tool for courses in medicine – as well as a range of other courses, including dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, kinesiology or the movement sciences and physician assistants"

Serial sections - 2 mm thick - of the cerebral hemispheres and diencephalon in the coronal, sagittal, and horizontal planes. So as to point out the level of the sections more accurately, each is shown from different angles - emphasising the surrounding hemisphere surfaces. This 3D approach has proven to be extremely useful when apprehending the difficult anatomy of the gyri and sulci of the brain. Certain complex cerebral structures such as the occipital lobe, the deep grey matter and the vascularization are studied here in greater detail. This second edition has been completely revised and updated, 44 serial sections have been added, while old MRI figures have been replaced by newer ones.

"Cross-sectional imaging plays an ever-increasing role in the management of the acutely ill patient. There is 24/7 demand for radiologists at all levels of training to interpret complex scans, and alongside this an increased expectation that the requesting physician should be able to recognise important cross-sectional anatomy and pathology in order to expedite patient management. Emergency Cross-Sectional Radiology addresses both these expectations. Part I demystifies cross-sectional imaging techniques. Part II describes a wide range of emergency conditions in an easy-to-read bullet point format. High quality images reinforce the findings, making this an invaluable rapid reference in everyday clinical practice. Emergency Cross-Sectional Radiology is a practical aide-memoire for emergency medicine physicians, surgeons, acute care physicians and radiologists in everyday reporting or emergency on-call environments"--Provided by publisher.

The accuracy with which clinicians can locate nerves and blood vessels has increased greatly with the development of portable handheld ultrasound scanners. This atlas of ultrasound anatomy addresses the two main challenges for anyone learning ultrasound-guided techniques: 1. Where do I place the probe? 2. What exactly am I looking at. All anatomic regions are included. Concise notes for each entry indicate scan landmarks and give useful tips and advice on potential complications.
