Abstract

Le développement de polymères autoréparants est une avancée majeure qui permet d'augmenter la durée de vie du matériau polymère tout en diminuant les coûts et en préservant les ressources naturelles. Différents systèmes polymères autoréparants à base d'adduits Diels-Alder ont été synthétisés tel que le système furane-maléimide qui donne lieu à une réaction réversible thermiquement et mécaniquement. De tels systèmes, de par leur nature réversible, confèrent au matériau ses propriétés autoréparantes. Récemment, un système polymère composé de 1,2,4-triazoline-3,5-dione (TAD) et d'indole a été développé. Ces deux réactifs peuvent engendrer une réaction click Alder-Ene qui est réversible thermiquement. Il est possible que cette réaction soit également réversible mécaniquement, c’est-à-dire sous l’action d’une contrainte. Cette possible réversibilité mécanique a été étudiée ici par spectroscopie de force par AFM sur molécule unique. L’objectif est de former l'adduit TAD-indole in situ dans le microscope et de l’étirer jusqu'à rupture de la liaison Alder-Ene. Ainsi, des profils de rupture de plusieurs centaines de piconewtons ont été observés. Après analyse détaillée des courbes force-distance obtenues, il sera possible de confirmer la formation de l'adduit TAD-indole ainsi que la nature réversible de la réaction.
