"Combien de fois avez-vous été sollicités pour attribuer une note ? Pensez à vos derniers achats en ligne, aux étoiles qu'on attribue à un chauffeur ou un livreur... on ne les voit même plus. Cette mode est aussi silencieuse qu'irrésistible : hôpitaux, services publics, tous ont vocation à être comparés, classés. Mais, comme dans le privé, le système porte en germe de graves dérives. Des collèges jésuites du XVIe siècle où elle est née jusqu'aujourd'hui, la notation pose un ensemble de questions auxquelles il devenait urgent de répondre. Vincent Coquaz et Ismaël Halissat ont enquêté : de TripAdvisor à Amazon, en passant par Uber, jusqu'aux notes citoyennes expérimentées en Chine, ils se sont plongés dans les méandres des avis clients, où une bonne étoile peut faire ou défaire une réputation et mettre en péril un emploi. Inventé par un gourou américain du marketing, le questionnaire de satisfaction moderne est devenu dans le meilleur des cas une fin en soi absurde. Dans le pire, il impose un stress infernal aux employés. Dans certaines entreprises, les salariés se notent même entre eux. Et, comme à l'école, la tentation de tricher pour améliorer sa note est souvent grande… Pire, une partie des notes qui nous sont attribuées sont totalement invisibles. En annonçant la fin de la commercialisation des voitures à moteur à combustion pour 2035, l’Union européenne impose au secteur de la construction automobile un timing concret pour solder l’ère des moteurs thermiques. Dans ce contexte, la filière électrique rechargeable – composée de voitures 100 % électriques et de voitures hybrides rechargeables –, qui se résumait à peu de choses il y a dix ans encore, représente désormais une dizaine de pourcents des parts de marché au niveau mondial, concentrées essentiellement sur la Chine, l’Europe et les États-Unis. Cet essor récent s’explique essentiellement par les politiques incitatives mises en place et par les normes d’émission imposées aux constructeurs, ainsi que par les annonces des autorités publiques visant soit la fin progressive de la vente de véhicules thermiques, soit l’atteinte de leurs ambitions en termes de développement de la flotte électrique.Forcés de prendre le train en marche, les constructeurs ont adapté peu à peu leur stratégie et, désormais, ils contribuent à amplifier le mouvement ainsi amorcé par une offre élargie de modèles électriques et par des annonces très médiatisées sur leurs objectifs en termes d’électrification de leur gamme. Pour autant, le chemin vers l’électrique reste long et parsemé d’obstacles. De nombreux défis doivent en effet encore être rencontrés, tels qu’assurer la mise en place d’une infrastructure de recharge adaptée, anticiper les problèmes qui ne manqueront pas de survenir concernant les capacités de production dans leur ensemble et, surtout, convaincre de potentiels acheteurs toujours dubitatifs face aux prix d’achat et à l’autonomie de ces véhicules rechargeables.
