Organs and Mini-Organs combines contributions from leading practitioners who work under the editorial control of an acclaimed researcher who also served for eight years as Editor-in-Chief of the journal Organogenesis, the first journal on this topic. The book begins with an introduction, but then delves into chapters that present advice on how to make organoids for many systems. In addition, case studies that illustrate the uses of organioids are presented, along with discussions on future directions and specific problems that need to be solved

The effects of climate change are appearing before us and show the fragility of settlements that are no longer able to manage natural phenomena and therefore their increasingly effect on them. The process of morphogenesis of cities has sedimented spatial configurations, which over time have lost the ability to manage a dynamic balance with the metabolism of the reference environment. The contribution presents a research study aimed at the planning of the Tuscan coast, in which, a novel methodology is proposed for the regeneration of patterns no longer able to manage the current metabolic flows.

Morphogenesis, the set of processes that generate shape and form in the embryo, remains a central area in developmental biology. This book, first published in 1990, provides an overview of the events and mechanisms of morphogenesis, reviewing the major molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying morphogenetic change and describing how these processes are integrated during normal development. Most of the major embryological systems, both vertebrate and invertebrate, are discussed, with extensive coverage of the molecular mechanisms of morphogenesis involving the extracellular matrix, the membrane and the cytoskeleton. The major focus of the book, however, is on those properties of mesenchymal and epithelial cells responsible for organogenesis, while the extensive reference cover of the historical and contemporary literature (more than 500 titles) provides a useful research tool in this very wide field. This book is aimed at both scholars in the field of embryology, and postgraduate and final-year students in development and anatomy.
