Das vollständig überarbeitete Gesamtwerk "Rietschel Raumklimatechnik" ist die Fortführung des erstmals 1893 erschienenen "Leitfadens zum Berechnen und Entwerfen von Lüftungs- und Heizungsanlagen" von Hermann Rietschel. Wichtige Merkmale waren und sind die Erweiterung bzw. Vertiefung der Grundlagen und die verstärkte Ausrichtung auf eine integrierte Behandlung des Gebäudes und seiner klimatechnischen Anlagen. Band 3 behandelt die Aufgaben der Raumheiztechnik, deren Anforderungen und Beurteilungskriterien. Des Weiteren wird eine Übersicht über Heizsysteme und deren Aufbau gegeben. Es werden Groß- und Kleinraumheizgeräte, Raumheizflächen, Wärmeerzeugungsanlagen, Wärmeverteilsysteme sowie die Gebrauchswarmwasserbereitung inklusive ihrer Berechnungsmethoden dargestellt. Das Gesamtwerk besteht aus drei Einzelbänden: Band 1 "Grundlagen" Band 2 " Raumluft- und Raumkühltechnik" Band 3 " Raumheiztechnik".
