For more than 20 years, work was done at the East side of the Grote Markt square, with the Forum as the cultural heart of the intervention. Groningen’s new and stunning public structure, the Forum Groningen, built by NL Architects, which opened in 2019, is examined here through photography, articles, design sketches and more. This civic structure houses a museum, library, cinema and public spaces.
