Cet ouvrage est le fruit d'une initiative lancée à l'automne 2015, après diverses discussions et échanges autour des spécificités des départements MMI (Métiers du multimédia et de l'internet), dans le cadre de l'assemblée des chefs de départements (ACD) MMI. Il souhaite retranscrire l'originalité des contenus pédagogiques, l'innovation rendue possible par le décloisonnement des disciplines, ou encore les synergies entre des intervenants ayant différents statuts (notamment enseignants-chercheurs, enseignants, professionnels, doctorants) et des parcours ou expériences très variés. Après environ 2 ans de maturation, ce premier ouvrage, qui sera peut-être le premier d'une série d'autres, rend compte de ces perspectives. L'originalité de ce projet tient à la fois à l'ancrage de la spécialité MMI dans le contexte favorable des IUT, mais également très fortement à la particularité même du DUT MMI. La formation MMI valorise en effet fortement la pluridisciplinarité, mais également le couplage universitaire/professionnel. Tous ces aspects sont des atouts indéniables pour que la spécialité MMI se positionne comme leader dans le paysage des formations web et multimédia. Cet ouvrage propose 8 chapitres qui couvrent une large partie du PPN (programme pédagogique national) : communication, expression, audiovisuel, réseau, informatique. Ils livrent à la fois des informations théoriques sur ces disciplines, mais aussi des exemples de pratiques pédagogiques, des analyses sur des exercices menés en cours ainsi que des réflexions sur le public du DUT MMI.
