How would we like to live? This book highlights the role of Els De Vos sociocultural society organizations whose members escorted to build, furnish and inhabit their home. On the one hand, they acted as intermediary between architects, government and residents, but also as independent parties, they expressed their ideological stamp on the living. With the depillarization of society, the commercialization of the living and the growing empowerment of citizens, however, their educational role soon had to compromise.
