Ce livre vous emmène dans un surprenant voyage au pays de Gambrinus. This final project will review a method of preliminary design requirements and preliminary performance calculation of a jet engine based upon certain requirements for a certain aircraft. We will see how we start off calculating the engine starting from some basic requirements and data we have already given about the engine. For instance we will have already made the assumption that our engine would need an approximate bypass-ratio and compressor-and fan pressure ratio. These are the start values, actual performance calculations in the later chapters could however prove that we need to increase or decrease these values. However we have to start with some values. We will not discuss how we obtain this start values, because this also requires some experience and more preliminary analysis which would really take us too far. As you will see the biggest part of this project consists out of calculations, as well handmade as by the computer program (PARA.exe and PERF.exe). Doing so we will calculate the required values for our analysis as by the textbook upon which this method of analysis is based. We can of course not explain all steps and every calculation and obtained value in detail because it would make the whole of the method very long. That‟s why we will only discuss some assumptions and obtained values or methods that are of that importance that they need some explanation. We will calculate ?Engine requirements‟, ?Parametric Cycle Analysis of Ideal Engine‟, ?Parametric Cycle Analysis of Real Engine‟, ?Performance Analysis or Real Engine‟. Based upon the results we will select an existing engine which matches our requirements. Furthermore we will short discuss the obtained results from every major chapter (4 parts basically) and we will make a final conclusion which will also include critical reflections of the made calculations, results and method.
