India is the homeland of the artist Shilpa Gupta. But the border is her most important theme. Not only because her art is now drawing international attention and is anchored in intermedia. The border also plays a very specific role, because the artist has been studying everyday life at India's border with Bangladesh in a long-term project. As a researcher, she has been investigating the field of interactions, influences, and impacts that comprise life and experience there.
