One of the most interesting and important phenomena in the aerodynamics of a car is drag. This drag is often given by a drag coefficient. Drag coefficients give a value for the resistance of an object in a fluid and are often found by wind tunnel testing. The aerodynamics of a car can also be modeled with specific CFD software. The goal is to model the aerodynamics in CFD as close to the reality found in wind tunnel testing. In this thesis the drag coefficients of simulations will be compared to wind tunnel tests. By comparing these coefficients, the CFD simulation can be validated. In this thesis three turbulence models are compared to see which has the highest accuracy compared to the wind tunnel tests. The three used turbulence models are k- ω, k- ω SST, kkL ω. The obtained drag coefficient out of the wind tunnel test was 0,08296. The most accurate simulation was for the k-ω model with a drag coefficient of 0,0783.
