O ebook Paisagens sonoras históricas – Anatomia dos Sons nas Cidades, agora disponível nas Publicações do CIDEHUS, resulta de um trabalho que vem sendo conduzido pelo Projeto PASEV – Patrimonialização da paisagem sonora histórica de Évora desde 2017 no sentido do seu reconhecimento, estudo, valorização, divulgação, em suma, patrimonialização. É o segundo ebook da responsabilidade do Projeto, e que, mantendo embora as linhas mestras do primeiro (de 2019, resultado do I Encontro sobre Paisagem Sonora Histórica, em 2017), em torno da reflexão sobre diferentes contextos sonoros e de produção musical especialmente em meio urbano, nos apresenta novos olhares e novas aproximações sobre essa mesma temática – a paisagem sonora histórica. Nesta senda, neste ebook, resultado agora do II Encontro de Paisagem Sonora Histórica, em 2019, são tratados os sons da Corte em contexto europeu e nacional, a música em ambiência sacra, avançando-se também para as expressões musicais associadas à vida na urbe, às diferentes sociabilidades e aos espaços urbanos; para os domínios da organologia, do património documental associado à música e à praxis musical, das personagens, das cenografias e das estórias de vida ligadas a práticas musicais populares, algumas em extinção. Com o sentido de futuro que carateriza o Projeto PASEV, o presente ebook consegue estabelecer uma relação intrínseca entre as duas interessantes reflexões que o iniciam (a primeira, da autoria de Juan J. Carreras, de cariz eminentemente historiográfico e de teorização dedicada à trilogia Musicologia, Sound studies e Sound history, e a segunda especialmente dedicada ao silêncio, esse “espaço entre os sons” ou “atmosfera em que o som está contido”, no dizer de Carlos Alberto Augusto), e a parte final, da tecnologia, das experimentações sonoras e das possibilidades do digital para exploração da paisagem sonora histórica de Évora, nomeadamente através das possibilidades do designado pelos autores como Auditory Atlas of Evora.
