Das Handbuch bietet einen umfassenden Überblick zu den Grundlagen, Schwerpunkten und Perspektiven der Beschäftigung mit kommunikativem Erinnern und medialem Gedächtnis. Damit erschließen seine Beiträge das Feld kommunikationswissenschaftlicher Erinnerungsforschung und verknüpfen es mit komplementären sozial-, geistes- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Ansätzen.
