"The presented methodology is focused on trees as living symbols of national and cultural identity and can be a handy tool, especially in the area of heritage conservation. At the same time, however, it can also serve in the entire range of a complex system of tree protection, whether at the level of state administration (e.g. assessment of trees with special protection, in the exercise of care in local government, in administrative proceedings, etc.), or local self-government units. Individual significant trees or their groups can be evaluated systemically in a very broad scope according to this methodology, or only a particular segment of the method can be selected and used for a specific evaluation section, where other methodological approaches for identifying and evaluating trees are either inadequate or even completely absent. The main goal of the presented methodology is to create a methodological tool for the permanent preservation of essential trees as part of the nation's cultural heritage and living symbols of the landscape of our home."-- Provided by publisher.

"The presented methodology is focused on active systemic care of trees as living symbols of national and cultural identity. The goal of the methodology is to guide users to the broadest possible concept of cultivation care for important trees as a systematic process throughout the entire period of their development. The user is offered a systematic procedure to determine the tree's potential, the possibility of fulfilling the required function, perspective, selection and application of appropriate cultivation interventions, the method of subsequent control, records and other system measures. Part of the care of an important tree is the analysis of its development to date, the impact of stressors it has faced, the cultivation measures that have been carried out on it in the past, and the evaluation of the tree's growth reactions to them."-- Provided by publisher.
