A training for pratical charity of Daughters of Charity in the XVIIst century lies onan ethic of virtues with the aim of building a spiritual, community and missionarylife. The practical charity of Vincent de Paul and Louise de Marillac is aimed atthe person as a whole, unifying the love of God and the love of neighbour, thecontemplative life and the active life. This unified lifestyle is expressed throughthe love among the sisters and the temporal and spiritual service rendered tothe poor. In Louise de Marillac, this formation is seen in the coherence of adouble system of virtues rooted in Christ and in the Trinity: on the one hand thevirtues of humility,simplicity and love of humanity following Jesus Christ, and onthe other hand, support, cordiality and union in the imitation of the Triune God,and gentleness towards the poor. The analysis of this system of virtues showsthat the Daughters of Charity were able to form themselves, to build the Churchand society in a context of social and political crisis, and to answer a numberof questions asked today by young Chinese congregations facing the challengeof forming sisters in the XXIst century, while initiating an ethical and interculturaldialogue for the benefit of the social integration of the poorest. La formation à la charité pratique des Filles de la Charité du XVIIesiècle reposesur une éthique des vertus en vue de la construction d’une vie spirituelle,communautaire et missionnaire. La charité pratique chez Vincent de Paul et chezLouise de Marillac contribue à l’unification du sujet, en unifiant l’amour de Dieuet l’amour du prochain, la vie contemplative et la vie active. Ce style de vie unifiés’exprime par l’amour entre les sœurs et le service corporel et spirituel rendu auxpauvres. Chez Louise de Marillac, cette formation repose sur la cohérence d’undouble système de vertus enraciné christologiquement et trinitairement : d’unepart l’humilité, la simplicité et l’amour de l’humanité à la suite de Jésus Christ,d’autre part le support, la cordialité et l’union à l’imitation du Dieu trinitaire, et ladouceur envers les pauvres. L’analyse de ce système de vertus démontre que lesFilles de la Charité ont été capables de se construire, de construire l’Eglise et lasociété dans un contexte de crise sociale et politique, et permet de répondre àun certain nombre de questions posées aujourd’hui par de jeunes congrégationschinoises confrontées au défi de former des religieuses en ce XXIesiècle, tout eninitialisant un dialogue éthique et interculturel au profit d’une meilleure intégrationsociale des plus pauvres
