The formula ‘one incarnate nature of the Word of God’ has often been depicted as a summary of Cyril of Alexandria’s (ca 378-444) christology. But no systematic study into his christological works has been published. Besides, there is no consensus regarding the meaning of the key terms and expressions in these works. This book addresses this deficiency by an integral investigation of the archbishop’s christological writings during the first two years of the Nestorian controversy, and comes to the conclusion that his christology is basically dyophysite. This re-appraisal of his christology bears on the understanding of the Council of Chalcedon and on contemporary ecumenical relations, especially those between the Eastern Orthodox and the Oriental Orthodox.

Wij zijn vertrokken met de overtuiging dat het vochtgehalte van het verbrandingshout een grote invloed heeft op een houtverbrandingsinstallatie. Verder hebben we onderzocht wat nu de juiste kosten zijn van een houtverbrandingsinstallatie. Hier gingen enkele verhalen over de ronde maar exacte cijfers waren niet voor handen . Voor het onderzoek naar het vochtgehalte van het hout hebben we metingen gaan uitvoeren bij een bestaande houtverbrandingsinstallatie. De stalen zijn dan onderzocht in het labo van de KHK. Via het droogstoken van het hout hebben we het vochtgehalte kunnen achterhalen. Voor de exacte cijfers hebben we kunnen rekenen op VW-tuinderijen die een houtinstallatie hebben geplaatst in 2005. Ons onderzoek kan tuinders helpen in hun keuze omtrent een verwarmingsinstallatie. Het eindwerk bevat niet enkel de cijfers omtrent de brandstofkosten en installatiekosten. Maar ook technische en praktische gegevens. Met de vele foto's heb ik een duidelijk beeld willen schetsen van de ins

In 2015, the United Nations formulated 17 ambitious goals towards transforming our world – the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 2030). Their relation to public international law has been studied, but private law has received less attention in this context and private international law none at all. Yet development happens – not only through public action but also through private action, and such action is governed predominantly by private law and private international law. This book demonstrates an important, constructive role for private international law as an indispensable part of the global legal architecture needed to turn the SDGs into reality. Renowned and upcoming scholars from around the world analyse, for each of the 17 SDGs, what role private international law actually plays towards these goals and how private international law could, or should, be reformed to advance them. Together, the chapters in the book bring to the fore the hitherto lacking private side of transforming our world.
