In dit boek concludeert Dirk-Jan Koch dat internationale samenwerking soms veel effectiever is dan we durven dromen, maar dat de effecten soms ook veel desastreuzer zijn dan we ons kunnen voorstellen. Het is vooral internationale desinteresse die ervoor zorgt dat Congo niet vooruit komt.
