Abstract

This book explores the psychological impact of traumatic experiences on refugees, specifically those from Eritrea, and introduces the Trauma Recovery Understanding Self-Help Therapy (TRUST) as a new intervention approach. TRUST utilizes information technology to provide low-cost, practical support to traumatized refugees, aiming to reduce trauma and build social and economic resilience. The study includes findings from various phases, including measuring PTSD prevalence and testing the TRUST intervention. The research highlights the effectiveness of psycho-social support in enhancing resilience among refugees, compared to traditional social protection methods.
