Abstract

This collection of contributions addresses recent developments in the field of international economic law and delves into the underlying process of institutionalisation that this legal sector is experiencing, from both a substantive and a procedural standpoint. Issues analysed include the scope of the most-favoured nation clause and the dispute-settlement clauses envisaged by international investment agreements, the intervention of third parties in investment arbitrations as amici curiae, as well as the application of the rules on State responsibility in this field. Certain contributions study the interaction between international economic law and other legal fields, such as international human rights law or the law of the European Union.
