A study area in the Bahia de Palmas, was established and predatory behavior in some Gulf of California shore fishes was studied to define certain general activity patterns. Between 1962 and 1965 over 1,200 hours of underwater observations were made at all hours of day and night. Predatory activity in 46 species was observed, and supplemental data were obtained on many others. Digestive-tract contents from 716 specimens were analyzed. Some conclusions are presented.
