Bruxelles est confrontée à un recours relativement plus faible aux soins de première ligne par rapport aux deux autres Régions. Au-delà de l’accessibilité financière et administrative, ce moindre recours peut être expliqué par d’autres facteurs, notamment sociaux et culturels. Cette étude aborde le recours aux soins de première ligne pour les personnes en situation de vulnérabilité en Région de Bruxelles-Capitale. La situation de vulnérabilité désigne un « entre-deux » : un équilibre délicat et fragile entre l’autonomie et l’indépendance, entre un moment auquel « ça va » et le suivant auquel « ça ne va plus ». L’étude mobilise une approche qualitative et analyse la question du (non) recours à la première ligne de soins via le prisme du territoire (avec un focus sur le quartier de Cureghem) et de la monoparentalité. L’équipe de recherche a donné la parole aux citoyen.e.s ainsi qu’aux acteur.ice.s professionnel.le.s de terrain

Brusselaars maken minder gebruik van eerstelijnzorg in vergelijking met de andere gewesten. Naast administratieve en financiële drempels, spelen ook sociale en culturele factoren een rol. Deze studie bespreekt het gebruik van eerstelijnszorg door kwetsbare personen in het Brussels Hoofdstedelijk Gewest. De focus ligt op personen “die financieel (te) krap zitten, maar net uit de boot vallen voor bepaalde sociale rechten”. Hierdoor moeten ze een wankel en fragiel evenwicht trachten te behouden tussen autonomie en zelfstandigheid, tussen momenten waarop “het wel gaat” en momenten waarop “het niet meer gaat”. De onderzoekers hanteerden een territoriale (met een focus op de wijk Kuregem) en een situationele benadering (met een focus op alleenstaand ouderschap) om de toegang tot en het gebruik van eerstelijnszorg te onderzoeken, en dit door middel van kwalitatieve onderzoeksmethoden. Ze gaven hiervoor het woord aan burgers én professionele actoren.
