The vision of NextPort of creating a multimodal multi-node infractructure including absolutely all the possible flows of people and goods, being it for economic or leisure purposes. The architectural interventions along that vision of NextPort have the objective to accommodate and enforce the two types of flows passing through. The integration in the existing buildings of workshop spaces for manufacturing are one example of a possible interaction of the two flows. Materials can easily be delivered to the workshop spaces where the citizens and workers of startup companies can assemble or produce their goods at a public waterfront. The waterfront distribution centre supports the logistics concept of multimodal traffic. Located on the intersection of the road network and the waterway the distribution serves multiple solutions for efficient transport of goods through the city.
