In the past few years, the market of electrical and electronic devices, especially Personal Computers, has reached saturation. Consequently, the disposal approaches of these devices have become critical. However, in Belgium, limited information is currently available on the plastic composition of arising waste streams and even less on how these waste streams will evolve. Therefore, in this paper, the trend of the plastic composition of the laptops and desktop PCs waste streams and their evolutions have been forecasted, in this research the forecasting model developed at KU Leuven has been used. This research project has the objective to sample current waste streams based on the housings of laptop and desktop PC, to analyze the plastics present in these waste streams and to forecast the plastic composition. In addition, because of the fact that tablets are also becoming more and more important in the market, some efforts about the adaptions needed for recycling processes have been made.
