Le théâtre populaire francophone au Cameroun, nouvelle forme de littérature orale naît de la rencontre du français et des langues camerounaises. Il est le produit de l'imagination des auteurs dont les pionniers sont : Daniel Ndo (Oncle Otsama), Dieudonné Afana Ebogo (Jean Miché Kankan), Dieudonné Kemseu (Dave K. Moktoï) et Essindi Mindja. L'imagination de ces auteurs et l'imagination collective constituent le langage de ce théâtre à travers lequel se révèle la société camerounaise.
